Midway & Charleston Utah
Midway and Charleston Communities Resting at the base of the Wasatch Mountains is the quaint, Swiss-influenced community of Midway. Famous for its legendary annual Swiss Days celebration held each fall, Midway also hosted several 2002 Winter Olympic events at the Soldier Hollow cross-country track and biathlon range. The area is ripe with golfing opportunities, including Soldier Hollow, Homestead Resort and Wasatch golf courses. Fans of fishing, horseback riding and skiing rejoice in Midway’s copious open space and the easy access to local mountains. Midway is located 15 minutes from Park City and is experiencing consistent growth as a result of new developments. While home prices are slightly higher in Midway than in neighboring Heber, most residents feel that the sense of community is worth the extra premium. Slightly less expensive is Charleston, a small town located on the nearby Deer Creek Reservoir. Many Charleston residents commute to work in Provo, while enjoying a more rural lifestyle.
